Canadian Dental Care Plan

We Accept the CDCP at Rosedale Dental in Thornhill
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal initiative that helps cover up to 100% of dental treatment costs for eligible Canadians. If you've been approved, you can receive reduced-cost dental care at our Thornhill clinic.
Who Qualifies for the CDCP?
The CDCP is designed for Canadians without private dental benefits and with a household income under $90,000 per year. You may qualify if:
- Your family net income is less than $90,000.
- You do not have access to private dental insurance.
- You are a Canadian resident and have filed your most recent tax return.
- Applicants must have filed their 2024 tax return.
CDCP Application & Eligibility in 2025
If you are 65 or older, under 18, or an adult with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate, you can apply now.
For adults aged 18-64, applications open in May 2025:
- May 1, 2025: Ages 55-64
- May 15, 2025: Ages 18-34

- Current CDCP members must renew starting in March 2025.
- The renewal deadline is June 1, 2025, to maintain uninterrupted coverage.

The CDCP is not a completely free dental program. Depending on your adjusted family net income, you may need to pay a co-payment of up to 60%. Coverage percentages and co-payment amounts have not been officially confirmed.

- Diagnostic services: Exams, X-rays
